Enter any words that you want to look for and then click the "Go" button.
To get more results, use the asterisk '*'.
For example, cat* will find anything starting with cat e.g. cat, cats, catalogue, catch, catcher, etc.
Type in your search words.
Choose which list you would like to search from e.g. Subjects, Authors, Series, etc. and then click the "Go" button.
For example, if you are looking for books by Paul Jennings, type in Paul Jennings, select Authors from the list and then click "Go".
If you're unsure how to spell any words, use the asterisk '*' e.g. Jen*.
The search engine will ignore any search term you enter that is not found in the database.
The database will only find exact terms - fuzzy searching is not enabled in this interface.
Generally the more terms you include the more accurate your search will be.
If you get too many results, add more search terms to your strategy.
If you get too few results, try removing less important terms from your search.
You may include any of the operators AND, OR, and NOT between terms to define a better search.
For example 'GATES NOT MICROSOFT'.
You can also bracket your terms to clarify the order.
For example: 'SCHOOL AND (PLAYGROUND OR YARD)' will ensure that the term SCHOOL is in every resulting document.
Add the truncation character, '*', to the beginning or end of your search term to match similar words.
For example: SKILL* will find the terms SKILL, SKILLS, SKILLED, SKILLFUL and SKILLET.
*ATION will find the terms ARBITRATION, CONCILIATION, MEDIATION and NEGOTIATION.
You can enter your search strategy in upper or lower case, Liberty3 will ignore all case when searching.
Special characters and numbers:
Special characters and numbers can be searched, however they should be enclosed in quotes.
For example: 'CELEBRATING "25" YEARS' or 'YIELD "5" "LITRES/HECTARE"'.
